An original oil painting on canvas by Anne Harkness. The old train depot still stands on W. Center Ave, in Mooresville. It has since been repurposed to hold Mooresville Arts. The Norfolk Southern tracks are still functional today. As the artist, I chose to add an engine headed north and a crossing arm to indicate that the train is moving. In the future, this downtown location may require a crossing arm due to Mooresvilles rise in popularity and growing population.
