An original oil painting on canvas by Anne Harkness. The title, "Manufactured in Color", is a vast shot of a hopper at a flour mill, but appears to be almost under construction as the lines and colors combine to create something wonderful. The vibrant colors and graphic shapes along with the drawing-like expression all work together to infuse this piece with intrigue and the hope of a world filled with color. I usually search for subject matter that is uncommon, unique and/or less than beautiful. While on a walk in downtown Mooresville, NC, I came across an impressively tall and mighty building with out buildings, grain elevators, a railway loading zone, and many structures I knew nothing about. I wandered into their outdoor complex and started taking photos to paint, before being asked to leave, for my safety and, of course, I was trespassing.
