Anne Harkness Longmeadow Cottage_.jpg

Longmeadow Cottage

$9,000.00

A friend of mine, Alex Scharnbery, took this photo. I asked permission to paint it and he said yes.

He writes, “I’ve been going to Longwood Gardens, (located northeast of Kennett Square, Penn.) for years but I’ve never been to the Meadow Garden or the gardens outside…Until today. This garden, even though it doesn’t look like a garden, is managed and cared for. It is absolutelu lovely…absolutely lovely!! I felt so calm and peaceful and I felt a sense of connectedness that I haven’t felt in any other type of garden I visited. I did not know that I needed to hang out in a meadow garden… It makes me want to come up and see it at other times of the year. However, today it was magic…”

I changed the title to Longmeadow Cottage, as artists can be a touch rebelious. Apologies to Longwood and Alex.
