There is joy in capturing the shapes, the design and the colors of each structure. Many times I will leave in the lines from the initial drawing of the buildings and let them show through in the finished piece. In some paintings the lines are less evident, in some they are more apparent even to the point of resembling stained glass. Frequently an edifice teaches me about itself and why I was drawn to it.
