Jersey Love
While visiting a friend, in Keyport, N J, one afternoon we walked from her condo to Front Street and Broadway. Once there, I saw this pub with it’s unique Irish flavor. The thoughts came tumbling in. What were the memories this place must contain. What stories, what tastes, what relationships, what neighborhood comradery, what history? Was it the neighborhood hub?
Perhaps an interview should follow. I liked how this building seemed loved yet had a sufficient amount of Jersy grunge, if not just to keep it real and welcoming to us humans.
This is an original, one of a kind oil painting by Anne Harkness, sized: 48 × 36 × 1.5”.
