There is a tension between the overlapping buildings and the angles of the railing, each tugging the viewer to travel in different directions. The emphasis and focus on the light hitting the railing is in contrast to the unfinished looser areas in the piece. As early morning struck this scene, I marveled at it's unexpected beauty and couldn't wait to celebrate this many faceted jewel of a scene.
