Designers Unite

While at a show in Cumberland, MD., I met Arnold d'Espagnier.

He is the designer of the chairs I painted in this painting. He graciously let me photograph this stunning chair and many others in his collection. He has named it the Burt Street side chair.The fabric was designed and woven by Meg Romero. She did a beautiful job and the fabric is silk.

Artists meeting artists. Artists promoting artists. Artists Unite. How cool is that.

 The chair required me to keep my painting clean and precise because of the chair's exquisite lines. The lines I use to insure perspective are still visible but are less noticeable, while the shadows melt away. The 3 different perspectives came from combining views from my photographs. It was a design challenge for the painter, but the journey was worth it!
