Balcony View

My one person show at the Catylist Building lobby in uptown Charlotte interested many a resident and tenants. A few sales had been made, which is always a thrill. To know someone likes your work enough to want to live with it and to pay for the privilege to do so is such a boost to any artists' confidence.

Many conversations were had with interested viewers, visitors, residents, etc. One resident noticed my cityscapes and said I have a great view from my balcony. It is on an upper floor and you just may like to paint it. I gave her my card and suggested she take a photo and send it to me. She took several and did just that.

She was right, the view was stunning. I did want to paint it.

Often, people who recognize something in my work that they like, are drawn to the same things I like. These are the best kinds of clients, those who fall in love with what I love. When we have a passion in common, that seems to make us both sing.
